Quick answer: For your first Fairuz (فيروز) vinyl, start with Legend: The Best Of, a double LP that covers both her classic Rahbani Brothers songs and her later work with Ziad Rahbani. If you want her morning classics, choose Morning Selection. All Fairuz records at Vinyl.ae are new and factory-sealed, with delivery across the UAE, the GCC and worldwide.
Fairuz Vinyl Records: Which Fairuz Album to Buy First
Fairuz is the voice of Lebanon and one of the most loved singers in the Arab world. Across the Levant and the Gulf, her songs are part of daily life, and for many families a Fairuz record playing in the morning is as familiar as the first coffee of the day.
Her catalogue is large, and the same songs appear on many different compilations, so choosing a first record can be confusing. This guide sorts the Fairuz vinyl records we stock by what kind of listener you are.
Who Is Fairuz?
Fairuz, born Nouhad Haddad in Lebanon, rose to fame in the 1950s through her work with the Rahbani Brothers, Assi and Mansour. Together they created hundreds of songs and a string of musical plays that defined modern Lebanese music. From the late 1970s she also worked with her son, Ziad Rahbani, whose arrangements brought jazz and contemporary influences into her sound.
Most Fairuz records fall into one of those two worlds: the classic, orchestral Rahbani Brothers era, or the looser, jazz-tinged Ziad Rahbani era. Knowing which you prefer makes choosing much easier.
The Best First Fairuz Record
Legend: The Best Of is the record we recommend most. It is a double LP with 16 songs across four sides, mixing classics such as Le Beirut, Shaat Iskandria and Asfour Al Shagan with Ziad Rahbani era favourites like Kifak Inta and Al Bosta. It is also one of the best-selling Arabic records on Vinyl.ae.
Prefer CD? Legend: The Best Of is also available on CD with the same tracklist.

Instrumental Fairuz Records
Two records in our Fairuz collection are instrumental tributes rather than Fairuz singing. They are lovely for background listening, but they are not a substitute for her voice:
- Fairuz & Violin: her best-loved melodies played on violin by Aref Joman.
- Fairuz On Saxophone: the same classics arranged for saxophone by Dr. Fathallah Ahmed.
Fairuz, Fairouz or Fayrouz?
Fairuz, Fairouz, Fayrouz and Feyrouz all refer to the same singer, فيروز. Song titles also vary: Sa'aluni Al Nas may appear as Saalouni El Nas, and Al Bosta as El Bosta. Every record on Vinyl.ae is listed under Fairuz.
Buying Fairuz Vinyl as a Gift
A Fairuz record is one of the most personal gifts you can give someone who grew up with her music. For a first gift, Legend: The Best Of or Morning Selection are the safest choices. For someone who already owns her best-known songs, the Ziad Rahbani era records or a Rahbani musical are a thoughtful step further. See our vinyl gifting guide and the Ramadan vinyl collection.
