Product description

Fairuz is one of the Arab world's greatest divas and has captivated audiences for over six decades with her timeless voice and landmark collaborations with the Rahbani Brothers. After experimenting with modern sounds in the late 70s and 80s alongside her son Ziad Rahbani, Fairuz returned to her classic style with Chat Iskandaria in 1987. The album revisits Rahbani Brothers compositions in their signature orchestral, theatrical style while weaving themes of nostalgia, love and time with lyrics from poet Said Akl. Newly remastered and reissued by Wewantsounds, this overdue vinyl is a great reminder of Fairuz's enduring influence on classical Arabic music.
