Sirit El Hob | Om Kolthoum - Vinyl
Sirit El Hob (سيرة الحب) is one of Om Kolthoum's (أم كلثوم) best-loved romantic songs, first performed in 1964. It was composed by Baligh Hamdi, whose lighter, more rhythmic style brought a new energy to her later repertoire, with lyrics by Morsi Gamil Aziz.
Like her other great songs, it unfolds slowly, with the orchestra returning again and again to the main theme as she reshapes each line. It is an easy record to love on first listen and a natural follow-up to Enta Omry.
